Description

We would like to invite you to our launch event for the findings of the report ‘European Perceptions of Climate Change’, a major European survey of climate change and energy beliefs in Great Britain, Germany, France and Norway.

The survey was conducted for us in June 2016 by Ipsos-Mori, funded through the Joint Programme Initiative on Climate Change (JPI-Climate). The morning part of the event will be web-streamed to the other European participating countries.

This meeting will commence at 10:00am GMT and will include a presentation of the key findings from the project, a panel with invited commentators including Lord John Krebs (Oxford University), Dr Caroline Lee (IEA, Paris), Professor Corinne Le Quere (Tyndall Centre and UK Climate Change Committee), and Dr Christian Teriete (European Climate Foundation, Germany), and lunch networking.

In the afternoon (2 until 4pm), our partners Climate Outreach will hold a workshop exploring the implications of the findings for future efforts to engage European publics with climate change. Places for this afternoon event are limited. If you would like to attend the afternoon workshop (in addition to the morning session), then please send a separate e-mail to Sarah Parsons (ParsonsS4@cardiff.ac.uk).

We look forward to meeting you on 8th March, Kind Regards
